creative thinkers, one meaningful interaction at a time

Our Mission

Our Mission

At Little Pines, we provide high quality learning environments where all children are encouraged to grow into confident and independent learners of the future. We acknowledge the uniqueness of each child, and through an age-specific, holistic educational curriculum, we nurture each child individually to achieve their learning potential. Recognising the invaluable contribution families and the wider community make to a child’s learning journey, we are confident that through a collaborative approach we can build respectful & supportive relationships that facilitate meaningful learning experiences in the development of our children.

Education

Education is the most powerful tool of change for the individual and society. The more we learn and critically reflect, the more we grow in knowledge and understanding of who we are and how we can make a difference in our life and in that of others. Our commitment is to excellence in the education of our children and the adults in our service.

Sustainability

Sustainability

We aspire to be positive role models for our children in the protection of the natural environment. We value and demonstrate our commitment to nature by providing indoor and outdoor areas that are designed to respect the environment. The natural playscapes allow children to freely explore nature with its different materials (bark, dirt, vegetable garden, plants, sandpit and water troughs). Our services are designed to allow for natural light and adequate ventilation in all the learning spaces. Underground water tanks and sensor programmed taps support the conservation of water in our community.

Inclusion

Inclusion

Little Pines recognises the right of every person to participate meaningfully in all aspects of community life and for each child to be viewed as a capable and valued contributor. As an inclusive service, we warmly welcome:

– Children of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

– Children with a disability or condition

– Children in the child protection system

– Children from socially, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds

– Children newly arrived as refugees or from within humanitarian programs

– Children with serious medical conditions

– Children presenting with language, speech and any special needs.
